*This is strictly a bank fishing only tournament, no boats, kayaks or watercraft will be allowed during competition. Participants will only be able to fish from the shoreline of the lake.
Tournament Payouts & Cash Prize Awards:
1st Place = $1,200
2nd Place = $600
3rd Place = $300
Largest Catfish = $200
Smallest Catfish = $100
*The following tournament payouts listed above are subject to change depending on the final count of entry submissions! All tournament payouts are based on a total number of entires. Any and all cash prizes may be adjusted proportionately based on the number of tournament entires at the discretion of the tournament director, which may include the lowering of tournament payouts.
Raffle Prize Giveaway Drawing:
Raffle tickets will be given to each participant during check-in on tournament day. Raffle prize giveaway drawing will be held after the awards ceremony has ended.
Raffle Prizes List: Raffle prizes expected include sponsor donations such as gift cards, fishing rods, fishing tackle, apparel, and related gear, merchandise & accessories.
ELIGIBILITY
*This fishing tournament competition is open to the general public. All ages are welcome to participate! Minors under the age of 18 are welcome to participate, but must be accompanied by an adult team captain, at least 18+ years old.
*Must be at least 18+ years old to register a team.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Individuals and/or duo (2 person) teams only.
2. All teams are required to have an designated team captain, at least 18+ years old.
3. All teams are required to read and fully understand all tournament rules. You can find a list of all tournament rules here: www.slingnbaits.com/tournamentrules
4. All participants ages 16+ are required to have a Kansas State issued fishing license to participate in fishing tournament event. If you're planning on using three (3) rods during the tournament, a State of Kansas issued 3-pole permit is also required.
5. A Kansas State Park daily parking permit is required for participation in this tournament event.
6. All tournament participants including minors are required to complete and sign a wavier & liability release form before participating in our fishing tournament competition. Wavier release forms will be available during check-in on tournament day.
TOURNAMENT SCORING
Tournament scoring and standing will be determined by the total cumulative weight of each team’s five (5) largest catfish caught. A bonus cash prize will also be rewarded to the team’s who catch the largest and smallest catfish. All catfish brought to the weigh-in scale must be alive. Any dead catfish will not be counted or scored.
Tie-Breakers:
In the event there is a tie for a place/position, our tournament director will resolve the tie breaker using the following criteria: In the case of an individual event where two or more teams are tied, the winner will determined by the team with the single (1) largest catfish. If the tie is still not broken, the next team or individual with the two (2) largest catfish weights combined will be declared the victory.
Eligible Tournament Waters:
Our tournament director will establish all tournament waters at the and define any known OFF-LIMITS and NON-FISHING areas for the tournament.
Tournament Safety:
There will be a mandatory pre-tournament captains' meeting required for all participants. During this 15 minute meeting, our tournament director will briefly go over all tournament rules and safely guidelines put in place to keep all participants safe. Furthermore, our tournament director may delay, shorten, restrict tournament waters, or cancel the start of an official tournament day due to bad weather or other factors that would endanger the safety of the participants.

*Online registration form should be completed on a smartphone, laptop or desktop computer, as some applicants have encountered viewing issues while using tablets.
*Please make sure you use an active email address that you regularly check. We will need to able to communicate with you and also send further instructions and other important information regarding the tournament event.
*All teams are required to register a team name. *Team names may not be changed after registration is completed. Prior to completing registration form, please view registered teams list below to prevent similar or alike team names. Please use language appropriate for adults and children of all ages. Sling N’ Baits will deny your registration in the event when we are reasonably confident that your team name constitute or include profanity, inappropriate languages, explicit sexual content, discrimination, violence or abuse against people or groups, racial slurs or any other “hate speech."
Entry Fee = $70.00 per team registration
+ $5.00 Processing fee
*Entry fees are non—refundable, non-transferable and non-deferrable.
*This tournament event has a maximum participation capacity of 30 teams.
*Registration closes on July 18th, 2026 or when all placement slots are reserved.
